BRANDING

What is a "brand"?  A brand is intangible . It is the inherent promise that a company makes to the customer that reflects what the consumer can expect in terms of overall quality upon making a purchase.  The brand is also tangible. It's the  marketing word that is used to help companies create a logos, a catchy phrase, a persona.  

In the Christian world, "church branding" has become popular as America experiences an ever decreasing interest in church attendance causing  ministries to ask why?  I think that it is important to present your "product" well. Saving souls is the "business " or should be the "business" of the church.  Personally, although I firmly believe in this basic idea,  I just don't like the word "branding".  It sounds painful, like using a branding iron on a cow. Ouch! 

PRESENCE

I would much rather create "Presence".  You know when you were younger and carved your name somewhere. "BOB WAS HERE", you were branding yourself.  In the Christian church YOU are the Logo, your life is the the tag line.  Creating  Presence  would be impossible if we did not live as a reflection of His presence.  It's Christ working through us by the power of the Holy Spirit that makes the difference. He is that pearl of great price that you sold everything to purchase and your life is a testimonial of the fact that you are a satisfied customer.  Or at least that's the basic theory:)

So here's the problem, the Book of Acts is based on a bunch of simple, ordinary people doing extraordinary things.  They had no trouble attracting people to them.  They didn't do market research, or have to literally bribe people to church.  They had "PRESENCE".  The Power of the Holy Spirit had just arrived on the scene and their lives reflected that truth.  People love REALITY TELEVISION.  This is the time of the 24 hour news cycle.  Everyone wants their 15 min of fame on You Tube.  The Christian Church is stale!!!  The message is dull and filled with fear and hypocrisy.  People are tired of the same old thing. Christians say one thing on Sunday and live a totally different reality all week long. 

MY FAMILY

I have lots experience dealing with the Christian Church. My father and mother are  Pastors, my husband is a Pastor.  I'm a Teacher.( 5 fold ministry, thank God). I've seen what I'm speaking about ALL MY LIFE!!!  In  my own family, we've worked and sacrificed everything to KEEP IT REAL!!!  It has been a huge struggle and  a test of our  faith everyday to live what we preach but I can honestly say that it is absolutely worth it!!!! Now , we've been at this for a long time, more than 35 years, so what you see has been seasoned "branded" in the fire of tribulation. Ouch! I told you I don't like that word.  Anything I say to you on this site I truly believe.  This is not about having a popular, feel good site.  This is about telling My Truth. I can only speak about what I've seen and experienced, you can take from it what touches your reality.

On this site, we'll go through the basics of taking your "BRAND" and creating an "ONLINE PRESENCE."  This is a very personal journey that you will embark on.  You will find that you have to take and make a very honest assessment of who you are, where you are and why you are there.  This is the same for an organization or business.  What is your product?  What are you offering the customer?  Why should they buy what you are selling?

You will learn how to create a twitter account, facebook and joomla website but I can't fill in the content.  I can encourage you, give you ideas but ultimately YOU are the Online Presence that the world is waiting to meet. This may sound scary but  YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU!!! And YES, I truly believe that!!!
